VISITOR'S TAX
A small tradition with a wide reach.

How much is the visitor's tax?
The visitor's tax in Baden-Baden is currently 4.50 € per person per night and applies to all guests aged 18 and over. Children, under-18s and business travellers are exempt.
How do I pay the visitor's tax?
You pay the visitor's tax directly to us – it could not be simpler. We then forward it to the city of Baden-Baden, where it is required by law. The visitor's tax card in your apartment lists all three payment methods: cash, PayPal or bank transfer. Payment is due on arrival.
What does the guest card give me?
When you pay the visitor's tax you receive the Baden-Baden guest card. It gives you reduced admission to the *Caracalla Spa*, the historic *Friedrichsbad*, the *Festspielhaus* and other cultural venues in the city.
Is there a Konus guest card?
Baden-Baden is not part of the Konus area, so we cannot issue a Konus card. The Baden-Baden guest card offers comparable benefits for spas, culture and leisure locally. You will find more information at the Baden-Baden Tourism and Spa Service.
Fun fact: Baden-Baden has levied a visitor's tax since 1507 – one of the oldest tourism levies in Europe.
